Down the dog friendly local.

I don’t know about you but sometimes of a weekend afternoon the other half and I ( and the dog ), like to wander down the local for a pint or two, or several. ๐Ÿ™‚ We are lucky that our local ‘The New Inn’ is a only a short stroll through the park, which means it is easy to incorporate Jake’s ( our labrador ) walk. We usually bump into some fellow dog owners putting the world to rights over a pint of postlethwaite’s and Jake knows he will no doubt get plenty of fuss and a few treats to boot.

The New Inn is a proper Real Ales pub with a varied selection that change regularly. My other half is a big fan.I’m more of a cider drinker myself and sometimes they do have more than Strongbow on tap.I am quite partial to a Ruby Tuesday! No food is served however.Just the usual crisps, nuts and er pickled eggs.Note to readers, if your for some reason tempted to buy a pickled egg and then have second thoughts about consuming it and hide it in a cupboard in the back room,Les the landlord will not be pleased.A-hem. ๐Ÿ™‚ Of course what we like the most about our local is that dogs are always made welcome. Here are a few pics from yesterday afternoon.

It's a great idea to take a collapsable water bowl to the pub.Thirsty work you know! This ones from Mountain Paws.

Though Ted and Molly would keep licking the floor when their owner was out the room. They were checking for spillages.I suspect they would love the foam off a pint of guiness too.:)
