Lancashire’s rugged fells and the sea faring towns and all the green fields in between are home to some wonderful fresh local produce and yesterday my local town played host to a fabulous food festival with stalls from all over the county. We met up with some friends and spent the day sampling tasty foodstuffs ,drinking in the ambiance of the festival ~ and drinking a few locally brewed real ales and ciders too. Well would have been rude not to. 😉 In the evening the festivities continued with the annual Proms in the castle grounds. I wish I had been able to take a few more pictures , the event is proving so popular now that it was hard to get close to the stalls, come Midday. Its great for the town though!
