Can’t believe its eight years ago since I last went to Canada! My school friend Lou is lucky enough to live out there in the beautiful town of Fernie, British Columbia with its gorgeous Rocky Mountains backdrop. In the Autumn ( Fall) of 2006 we flew over to Calgary with our friend Anne who I was also at school with. We hired a car and drove to Fernie to stay with Lou and then we all did a little road trip up to Vancouver Island. It was amazing, the scenery was gorgeous and we had so much fun. It was an experience I will never forget. As my blog’s tag line is ‘These Are a few of my favourite things’, I thought I would share a few pictures. Canada is a love of mine. Hopefully one day I will get to visit Lou again and record a little more up to date post. šŸ™‚

Once on Vancouver Island we traveled over to Crystal Cove Tofino Resort near Tofino where Lou had got us a great deal on a tree house cabin with a hot tub. The views over Mackenzie beach were stunning.

We decided to make the most of our time on the island and take a boat trip to some hot springs which incorporated the possibility of seeing some whales in the Pacific Ocean. The wildlife there is fantastic.

On the way back to Fernie we stopped over in Osoyoos and saw a spotted lake and then headed back to Fernie, passing mountain goats grazing in an unusual place. šŸ™‚
