As we recently purchased a new camera ( a Lumix Fz72 ), I thought I would use it to take pictures in my local park of the various animals and birds that reside there. I am lucky enough to live very close to ‘Clitheroe Castle’. Its grounds are where we often take Hugo on his walks. Here are a few recent photos. There are lots of grey squirrels that can often be seen trapezing from tree to tree. And quite a few species of garden birds. Over the year I will try and make a record of what I come across. Yep I am a bird nerd!

Park Life will be back in another month. 🙂
Fab. Do you know why the flag is flying? Carol xxx

Thanks.Not sure Carol.X
Yeah I like birds. Think it’s the result of stuff we did about them in my primary school days. I can still recall waiting after school with a few other kids while our teacher wrote out the address for the RSPB, which led to me being a member of the Young Ornithologist Club. My Dad used to call me a Yocker!
Yocker! I like that.:) Yeah I think its because I grew up in the countryside and there wasn’t much to do except go out with my spotters guide to birds book!
Lovely photos – and you know the bird names! I love birds but never know what they are! You are quite a talented photographer!
Aw thanks.I’m really just a point and shooter with my camera.Got quite lucky with the squirrels.X
Aw I adore this! You got some awesome shots too – super jealous of all the fab wildlife you have near you. Look forward to seeing another of these posts next month…! 🙂
