I thought I would post a few of my favourite wildlife photos that I have taken whilst out and about this year. There have been a few special moments! I finally managed to photograph a kingfisher ( not once, but twice! ) and I was thrilled to spy a Green Woodpecker by the river Wharfe in Yorkshire. A holiday on the Norfolk Coast proved an amazing experience for wildlife spotting and even a few days away in London gave me some photographic opportunities. 🙂 Hope you enjoy my pictures.

I guessed he wasn’t, since it’s rare to see wild owls around in the daytime. Maybe he just wants to go to bed 🙂 x
Most probably! X
Wonderful post and fantastic pictures. You have seen a lovely selection of wildlife, and it’s given me an idea for a blog post too 🙂 x I think my favourite wildlife moment was seeing the male sparrowhawk in my yarden. That was thrilling! 🙂 xx
Wow. Love the Kingfisher. My best was lizard spotting in Greece.
Thank you! I remember your lizard spotting. Hopefully If i get abroad in 2018 I shall be checking out any local wildlife!
I like them all but my favourite just has to be the deer 🙂
Thanks Eunice ,there is a small herd of them at Dalemain Estate near Ullswater in Cumbria. A delight to see!
What a feast for the eyes. Just what I needed on this winter morning. 😁. Xxx

Aw thanks Carol. Glad you enjoyed them. Glad we ended up in your old haunts too, especially beautiful Norfolk. 🙂
Wonderful. I kept changing my mind about my favourite as I scrolled through. Like Eunice, i’ll probably settle for the deer. Or maybe the owl…
Thanks Annabel. You have seen lots of wildlife too on your ‘Galavants’. X

We must have! I will always be jealous of your Barn Owls . I will check all barns when I stumble on them now….which makes sense really. 😉
Lovely pics. Well done. Had to laugh at the owl though – he looks so grumpy. xx
He does a little. I must admit he isn’t wild but a hand reared rescue at Muncaster Castle. Probably fed up of people taking his photo. Aw. X

These photos are SO good! I love the kingfishers and the tawny owl. I’m definitely going to try and up my wildlife photography game in 2018.
Wonderful! I love the beautiful photo of the deer. I clearly had my wildlife moments of 2017 on the Galapagos Islands. My favorites are those: https://hikeminded.blog/2017/10/26/isabela-galapagos-weird-landscapes-birds-and-reptiles-on-a-tricoloured-hike/
