Frost.

Our last weekend at the caravan before we closed it down for the Winter was idyllic. Cold, fine and frosty. This is what Melmerby looked like on Saturday morning. Jack Frost had sprinkled his magic.

We headed into Keswick later that morning. Hugo enjoyed playing with his inflatable in the lake. Didn’t see many other wild swimmers. 😉

After lunch we headed back to the Eden Valley as Keswick was bustling with festive shoppers. We parked up in Edenhall and enjoyed the quiet solitude of a countryside walk. The combination of frost and mist was both eerie and magical.

This morning we left a beautiful winter wonderland for our rather green Lancashire home.

Hello December. ❄️

  1. What great atmospheric piccies! (Already viewed (and “liked”) on your Instagram account). A walk on a frosty misty morning is the best bit of winter 😀 Wrap up warm and enjoy the contryside and back hometo a cosy house (or caravan!).. The cold, grey and damp miserable day today is not so good!

    1. Were home now, back up in the spring except maybe to check on things. Spent my first three years in a caravan so I should be used to the cold really. 🙂

  2. Some lovely frosty snaps & I don’t mind walking in the cold, as long as it’s not windy. Just think we were in Keswick early August enjoying strolling from our B&B to the town centre where there was a bustling market one day & eating at a couple of the local pubs. Stay warm & take care.

  3. It was an amazing weekend for frost and sunshine (where we were anyway). The light at times was magical as it shone through the white trees. Back to the wet, wind and gloom this week….
