Just returned from a few days at our caravan in Cumbria. It’s the first time we’ve managed to visit this year. Happily we were able to stay toasty in the van and get out and about and explore too. Life is carrying on as normal..for now! Here are a few images from our 4 day break.

NT Acorn Bank.

Appleby & Rutter Falls. ( 8 mile muddy walk).

Northern Viaducts Round ~ Kirkby Stephen. ( 4 mile, not as Muddy walk).

Definitely loving all the places we’ve discovered in the beautiful Eden Valley so far.
Rutter Force & Hoff Beck Walk.
Home via Ambleside. We were sad to head home today, took a little detour to Ambleside , so Hugo could have a swim in Windermere.

Hope everyone is well. Stay safe. ❤️
Looks like you had a great time 🙂 xx
Enjoyed all that fresh air. 🙂 X
Think we need all the fresh air we can get at the moment! x
I’m really hoping we will visit Cumbria this year and when we do your blog will be our expert travel guide for lovely dog friendly places! x
Oh thank you. Hope you get to go. Xx
I hope you managed to contribute to the empty bottles holding the daffodils!!
Had two glasses!
Lovely post – enjoyed it! agree about the fresh air.
Thanks Alison. Hope your ok. X
Thanks, yes, am fine. staying home as much as possible and catching up on neglected projects etc.
Sounds like a plan. Xx
Beautiful photos ❤️ looks a wonderful break!
Thank you. It was lovely to chill at the caravan and of course get out and explore the local area. X
That looks lovely – some memories to store when we’re all confined to home 😟. We are supposed to be going to Ambleside soon, but I can’t see it happening.
That sucks. Feel like we’re in some sort of futuristic sci Fi film. 😦
I know, I’m beginning to feel that way too.
Love the photo of the planted up bathtub and sink. Looks like you had a super time. Keep safe and healthy. xx
I thought the bathtub was very quirky, thank you. X
It must be wonderful to get back out into the countryside again. The caravan looks cosy. Rattle Ghyll is a fab cafe. I like sitting outside and looking at the stream and waterwheel ….. maybe in warmer weather though.
It was a fab find , the soup with cheese was an amazing idea. I was chuffed! X
Looks like a lovely break. Hope you are all keeping well? x
Hi yes both well thank you, hope you guys are too. Xx
Yes doing fine at the moment xx 🙂
On catch up with blogreading. What a lovely short break & to see places we’ve been through your photos is great. Thank you. Take care, stay safe & hugs.
Thanks Susan.X
Some really lovely photos, especially love the viaduct and scarlett elf caps. My parents have friends in Appleby, but I haven’t been there since I was a child, lovely place. Hope you’re safe and well. X
It’s a lovely area. Yes do far so good. Hope you are all ok too. X
Looks like you had a nice break, I love the photo of Appleby and the flowering quince, it’s a lovely colour 🙂
It was so pretty , very vibrant colour. X
What a wonderful break. It looks like Hugo (and you) had a great time. X
We all had a lovely time, thanks Jules. Such a lovely area! X
Looks like you made the most of your time at the caravan. I love to visit all the places you have been too. Smardale Viaduct walk is beautiful too although I think the viaduct is closed at the moment, it is further along the same disused line.
I would love to visit there too. Walks in the fresh air, one of the few things we have left to enjoy. Xx
I love that welly wandering sign!
Me too, very cute. 🙂 X
