    1. Hi Tracy
We have two dogs,no problem at most of the above.
      I think it’s a brilliant way of promoting trade👍
Wish this post had been around when I had my shop on Chatburn Road ?

  1. I think more and more places are becoming dog friendly. I always chuckle to myself when I visit Keswick. I feel out of place because I don’t have a dog with me! 🙂

  2. Good bit of research there, Sharon.
I’m not a dog owner, in the minority at the present time, I always smile when I see a sign saying dog friendly café and try to avoid them for hygienic reasons.
One of the most hilarious episodes I’ve experienced was in a ‘dog friendly’ café in Cornwall. It was full at coffee time with lots of well-behaved pets sat under the tables until a couple turned up with an Alsatian straining at the leech. Within seconds, this dog set about chasing the rest. This resulted in a cacophony of dog barking, owners calling, tables chairs and coffees flying. Complete mayhem, I was glad to escape.

    1. That does sound like complete mayhem. Haha! Hugo is pretty good but there are certain dogs he doesn’t like, he doesn’t like male dogs who are bigger than him for example. So we do have to keep an eye on him at all times.

    1. Yes it definitely gets a few visitors. Though Sundays are not the best day to visit as many of the shops don’t open on Sundays. Tourists would like the castle which has the second smallest Keep in Britain and Holmes Mill with its Beer Hall and Food Hall is a big draw for people.

  3. Lovely place to visit & live. Just be aware many places also closed on a Wednesday. Got caught out over the Summer as a lot of independent small shops & cafes close.
