Sunday Sevens ~ 14th April.

Hello and welcome to a Sunday Sevens. This is a collection of seven or more photos from my week. Exciting stuff eh!

Coffee Table ~ We have acquired a coffee table at last! I can’t tell you how fantastic it is to have somewhere proper to pop my brew/wine instead of the floor. Hurrah! Also it’s great for displaying my cacti coaster tree. πŸ™‚

Rhubarb Cleaner ~ Thanks to my friend Jo for gifting me a bottle of ……. Method Anti-Bac wild rhubarb cleaner. The kitchen smells so delicious ly rhubarby after cleaning. And as a big fan of all things rhubarb, I can’t tell you how happy this makes me. 😁 Method Anti-Bac is probably available at most supermarkets. Jo bought it from Booths.

Cheese Easter Egg! ~ Speaking of Booths, Wil found his perfect Easter Egg there. It’s not chocolate, it’s cheese. πŸ™‚

Waffles and a Walk ~ The kids are off school for the Easter break ,so enjoyed scrumptious chocolate waffles at The Chocolate Works in town on Friday, followed by a canal side walk at East Marten near Skipton with my sister and niece & nephew.

Smartie Pants Waffle.
Roman and huge horse!
Canal side.
Jelly ear fungi. Thanks for the I D Louise. πŸ™‚
This gravestone at St Peters in East Marten belongs to a lady with the name of Easter.❀️

Smelly Dog.
Yesterday Wil, Hugo and I did a pub walk to The Red Pump Inn in the village of Bashall eaves. Hugo decided to snaffle down quite a few sheep poops. We suffered his stinky trumps all evening. :/

Walkies.

Sunday Sevens 18th November.

It’s a Sunday Sevens Birthday Edition!

I booked a week off work ~ you have to when it’s your birthday don’t you….

Anyway here are a few pictures from my week.

We spent last weekend at a mates Holiday Cottage in Ravenglass, a small seaside village on the Cumbrian coast. We were joined for two nights by some friends as well, and it was great to spend time with them. 😁

The cottage looked out across the Estuary and my God daughters enjoyed looking for ‘treasures’ on the beach. This anchor was a bit big to take home with them though!

The cottage was packed to the rafters with owls! They were everywhere. In the beams, on the walls, on the windows….

A favourite tipple of mine this week was a Edinburgh Rhubarb & Ginger Gin Liqeur served with Gingerale. πŸ™‚

Birthdays mean books! I received these three as presents and I’m excited to delve into them. πŸ™‚

This week I got to make a chocolate bar and a box of chocolates at The Chocolate Works in Clitheroe. Definitely a scrumptious idea for a Girls Night out. πŸ™‚

And I wasn’t the only one with a Birthday! Hugo’s pal Mick the Greyhound had a 3rd Birthday Party at his humans house. Oh my! If you can imagine five Springer spaniels, two greyhounds, a beautiful collie and a naughty black labrador all running riot ( whilst getting on amazingly well ~ Phew! ) in your home for two hours, you’ve got the picture. πŸ™‚ They were a lot easier to entertain than children anyway. πŸ˜‰ Hugo loved it!

Afterwards I got to party in town with my chums!

Hope you had a good week.

The Chocolate Works ~ Clitheroe.Β

I am in big trouble! A Chocolate Cafe has opened in my home town…and you know, I cannot resist chocolate.  😁  The Chocolate Works on Castle Street serves up heavenly Hot Chocolate, Union Hand Roasted Coffee and has an amazing cake selection too.

But of course if you are a Chocolate Cafe you have to pull out all the stops. To tantalise a chocoholics sweet tooth, the Chocolate Works menu includes freshly made Bubble Waffles,  in a variety of fun flavours.

Delicious Cakes and do I spy a Chocolate Fountain??
I won’t waffle on but these waffles are scrumdiddlyumptious!

On a visit with  friends at the weekend we seriously indulged and ordered off the Bubble Waffle Menu. I opted for the Oreo Madness  , recommended by my 6 year old god daughter. πŸ™‚ But what are Bubble Waffles, I hear you ask?

I must admit I had never even heard of Bubble Waffles until my trip here. The dessert originates from Hong Kong and has instagrammed its way to our shores over the summer. Served in tall  knickerbocker glory type glasses the light bubbly waffles fold round an indulgent bundle of fillings. My Oreo Madness contained vanilla ice-cream, crushed Oreos and Nuttella. Nope I don’t think theres a low fat version. πŸ˜‰

The shop also sells a variety of chocolates, sweets and popcorn.

Chocolate themed decor.

Also on the menu are chocolate dippers ; marshmallows dipped in chocolate. I knew there was a use for that chocolate fountain!

The Chocolate Works is a lovely venue to meet up with friends. And as you can imagine kids will love it here too. My god daughter already calls this her favourite place in Clitheroe. 😁

The staff are welcoming and friendly and the owner is very passionate about chocolate. He’s even started making his own on the premises.

Go on…….indulge. πŸ˜‰

So bob in, take a seat, your in for a treat. πŸ˜ƒ

Chocoholics will not be disappointed!
