Last year I started my 25 Before 45 Bucket List and although progress is quite slow, I have at least achieved a few things on it ! Whilst I have not yet learned to crochet, swum in a Lido or watched a Film Outdoors, I have managed to Trek With Llamas in the Lake District, Picnic on a Village Green with my old-fashioned Picnic Hamper ( Not very successfully, Hugo ate the cake ! ), do a Rail Ale Trail Tour on the East Lancs Railway and take part in The Morecambe Bay Cross Bay Walk led by the Queen’s Official Guide, Cedric Robinson. I have just under 2 years to complete the list, so hopefully in 2017 I will make a sizeable chunk in it. Wish me Luck!

And now for a bit of Blog love. Here are some links to posts I have enjoyed reading in January. X
I don’t know about you but sometimes of a weekend afternoon the other half and I ( and the dog ), like to wander down the local for a pint or two, or several. 🙂 We are lucky that our local ‘The New Inn’ is a only a short stroll through the park, which means it is easy to incorporate Jake’s ( our labrador ) walk. We usually bump into some fellow dog owners putting the world to rights over a pint of postlethwaite’s and Jake knows he will no doubt get plenty of fuss and a few treats to boot.
The New Inn is a proper Real Ales pub with a varied selection that change regularly. My other half is a big fan.I’m more of a cider drinker myself and sometimes they do have more than Strongbow on tap.I am quite partial to a Ruby Tuesday! No food is served however.Just the usual crisps, nuts and er pickled eggs.Note to readers, if your for some reason tempted to buy a pickled egg and then have second thoughts about consuming it and hide it in a cupboard in the back room,Les the landlord will not be pleased.A-hem. 🙂 Of course what we like the most about our local is that dogs are always made welcome. Here are a few pics from yesterday afternoon.
We met two springer’s,another labrador,a greyhound,a collie cross,two border terrier’s and two jackadoodle’s!
Do you have a dog friendly local? Let me know any recommendations you may have……………x
