Sunday means Sunday Sevens , a collection of seven photos from my personal week. 1) I treated the bedroom to a seahorse. Every bedroom should have one don’t you think ! Even though we live nowhere near the sea, I kind of like anything nautical…and Cecil fits the bill. We spent last weekend de – cluttering the bedroom. Seven bin liners full later plus one sea blue addition and I am one happy gal. Not sure Wil is as enamoured with Cecil as I am though!
2). I actually made a pudding. Caramel Apple Bake is a recipe I found on Pinterest and it tastes like Autumn and deliciousness. 🙂
3). I collected these Autumn leaves, nuts and berries on one of our walks with Hugo. There’s so much colour outdoors at the moment. I have been photographing different wildlife every day in October and my most recent post is here.
4). And if I can shamelessly plug my posts here is ‘the best berry pavlova ever’ which I devoured at the new cafe at Holmes Mill . Definitely an indulgent treat but you will need your pennies. 😉
5).Speaking of delicious food, Wil and I enjoyed a lovely cheeseboard whilst in Skipton yesterday. Coopers Cafe Bar on Broughton Road is definitely recommended if you are in the area. It is actually also home to the studio of crafty blogger Lucy from Attic 24. I didn’t have a sneak peek though, maybe next time.
6). It’s been a while since I’ve visited Skipton ( I don’t know why? ) and a few new shops have sprung up. I loved this cute window display at The Vintage Wash House , which sells traditional cleaning products, homewares and gifts.
7). The last picture is of my two god daughters. We had a nice Autumn walk with friends, their kids and a bunch of dogs yesterday. Fun times. 🙂
Well folks its that time of year again. My blog has been out there in the virtual world for yet another year.Thats four years! Pretty impressive hey. 🙂 I guess Sunshine & celandines is mostly a slice of my life for me to look back on.But I have to admit it’s nice to know that occasionally somebody somewhere might visit my little corner of the bloggersphere.:)
What do I love about blogging? Well I do love telling everyone and their aunty about any new great places I discover. I feel compelled to actually! I enjoy taking photos too, though in a haphazard point and press type of way. So this blog is really my great indulgence.I’m still finding it to be lots of fun. I don’t think I can quite help….. being a blogger.:)
My Blogging Birthday Tradition is to host a wee giveaway every July to celebrate another happy 12 months of blogging.Yay! As I sit outside in the sunshine (oh so appropriate) sipping fruit tea, watching Slinky the cat prowl about my nasturtiums, I’m thinking, yep it feels great to be wishing myself a very happy blogging birthday.:)
To recieve a read copy of Jackie Copleton’s gripping & beautiful novel set in war torn Japan ‘A dictionary of Mutual Understanding ‘and a pretty blue ceramic seahorse tag from my friends Etsy Shop please comment below.
What do you like about being a blogger?
And if you are not a blogger ,could you ever be tempted ?

So it’s Sunday again and time to join in with Sunday Sevens devised by Natalie at the fab blog Threads and Bobbins. The Sevens are Seven photographs of our personal weeks. Here goes….
1). Finally got some baskets and tubs planted in the back yard. We’ve also sorted out the flower beds. So although it’s not quite a garden, it’s almost a yarden. 🙂 Thanks Christine for introducing me to that word!
2 & 3). Last Sunday was just gorgeous and we made the most of it by enjoying a day out in the Dales. We went to Malham which is known for several natural beauty spots such as Janet’s Foss ( a waterfall that features a fairy cave) and Malham Cove , an iconic curved rock formation where Falcons nest. You can read all about them in my post here.
4). Do you like my seahorses? My friend Lisa creates quirky and colourful ceramic tags and jewellery and I fell in love with these guys. In fact I’m thinking of doing a little giveaway next month , to celebrate 4 years of blogging. So watch this space! And meanwhile check out Lisa’s lovely Etsy Shop. 🙂
5). Ha I forgot to post this picture of Hugo on my Malham blog , but it does make me chuckle. 😉 He’s listening intently to the bird sounds on this interactive display in the National Trust Barn. I think he particularly liked the Lapwing. 🙂
6 & 7). These were taken Saturday morning before the heavens opened. I was enjoying the peace and tranquility down by the riverside. The air was filled with the fragrance of Wild roses and Elderflower. Sand Martins sped busily by. Hugo was busy doing his doggy stuff. Our walks always make me feel good. Fresh air, Countryside and an enthusiastic hound ,what a joy. :))
