Wild buds and blooms.

At the weekend we were blessed with actual warm sunshine and blue skies. On my walks with Hugo I took my camera along to record the abundance of wild flowers that had literally sprung up in the April sun rays.

I have a confession! ย I’m absolutely rubbish at this scheduling posts /writing up posts malarky , and I’m not sure I am going to keep up with the pressure ofย Blogging Every Day In May.ย  And besides the weather is just too nice to be glued to my pc. So i’m stopping for now. I managed a week! ย And I’ll be back soon. Or when it rains….

Thanks for dropping by.X

Photo an hour ~ May

Saturday was a great day to take part in Janey and Louisa’s Photo an hourย challenge as the sun was shining , so no pics of me sat around watching TV. ๐Ÿ™‚ ย  Instead there are exciting photos of the washing on the line and a trip to a garden centre. Ha the exciting life I lead. Still, i love having a nosy into everyone else’s everyday life stuff…..so maybe you will enjoy being a bit nosy too………

Autumnal August ?

I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve had to wear my wellies this month. And now its getting a wee bit chilly too! ย Quite a few bloggers have been posting about how Autumnal they feel. With that in mind I donned my wellie bobs and jacket and set off for a walk down the fields. It is true there are sure signs that Autumn is taking hold. Nuts and berries are already in abundance. However Summer still clings on. Flowers, Butterflies and Sunshine. Yes Sunshine! By the time I was half way back from my walk I had stripped off my jacket and put on my sunglasses. ๐Ÿ™‚

52 Lists ~ Things To Do This Summer. :-D

Goodness I’m a wee bit late starting the 52 Lists challenge. Its week 23 already ( nearly half way through) but as I so enjoy reading Louisa’s and Janet’s 52 Lists posts on their blogs Duck In A Dress and Words That Can Only Be Your Own , I thought I won’t be shy, I’l join in too. ๐Ÿ™‚ After all my family Surname is actually Lister so it seems its meant to be ……….

The prompts for the challenge have been thought up by country loving blogger, Ema ~ over at Made In Hunters ( another lovely blog) but as i’m currently waiting for her to email me the rest of the prompt list, I will start off with the current topic. ๐Ÿ™‚

Summer To Do List.

Read some novels by Colette. After all Paris is booked in July. ๐Ÿ™‚

Paint the back of the house…..or get the Other Half to. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Sip homemade limoncello in the back yard.

Rent a beach hut for the day. I would love to hire one of these for the day.

Take a ride on a Vintage carousel. Never to old eh!

Go to a vintage seaside fair and watch a Punch and Judy show.

Take a walk to a country pub with a beer garden. Its going to stay sunny right. B-)

Watch an open air film showing.

Go camping more than once this summer.

Have the courage to let my kitty cat Slinky wander outside without my strict supervision. That could be a toughie!

So anyway thats my first list done ( Hurrah!), I wonder how much of it I will achieve…. What will you be getting up to this Summer?

Thursday Favourites ’12’

Hi and welcome to this weeks Thursday Favourites. What have I enjoyed about the past seven days……

Warm Sunshine. ๐Ÿ™‚

The Sun has been out ( occasionally) and you could actually feel its warmth on your back. Sunglasses were worn and certain kitty cats ( thats Slinky Malinki) dared venture into the back yard for a sniff before scooting back in at top speed. I’m almost as frightened at letting her out as she is of going out though……

Family Time.

It was nice at the weekend to spend time with both sets of Mums for Mothers Day. We took Wil’s Mum out for lunch on Saturday and visited mine on Sunday. My siblings and niece and nephew were at Mums too so it was great to have a fun family day.:)

New Baking Tins.

I treated myself to some new baking tins, mixing bowl and cake stand with some of the proceeds made from my teacup trinket stands. I hope these new purchases will encourage me to bake more.Hmmm I seem to like my polka dots.

Scary movies.

Actually watched a couple of scary(ish) movies recently which is amazing for me and my ‘hide behind a cushion when anything mildly scary is on the telly’ persona. We saw dark and atmospheric fairytale ‘Pans labyrinth’ and haunting ghost story ‘The woman in black’ starring Daniel Radcliffe ……..and yes I did watch them half behind a cushion. But at least I watched them!

Fruit-imals.

And lastly I thought I would feature this amazing Owl made by a work colleague to encourage kids to eat fruit. Must be enough fruit in him to constitute our now ‘7’ a day recommended portions hey. Cute as well. ๐Ÿ™‚

Fruity!

Bye for Now.X

No Coat Needed. :)

Today was the first day I went outside without a coat. ๐Ÿ™‚ On my way home from work I stuffed my jacket in my bag and took the scenic route through the park. I was rewarded with sunshine and blue skies and spring flowers revelling in the late afternoon sun.
