Sunday Sevens 15th October.

Heres a quick burst of photos  for Sunday Sevens. 7 pictures from the last 7 days.

We collected the wallpaper we ordered for our front room from Live Like The Boy in Colne. Brimmed full of retro, vintage and contemporary interiors, this eclectic store might just be our new go to for any finishing touches. Plus a very cute dachshund called Stanley lords over the stock. πŸ•

Whilst in Colne it was recommended we go for coffee at About Coffee , which is just a few doors down from Stanley’s shop. I overloaded on sugar when I ordered an Austrian White Hot Chocolate and Raspberry & Pistachio cake!

A night out with friend in Clitheroe took us for gin cocktails in The Parlour. I always get drawn to the teacup cocktails! Wil looks like he is wearing mascara in this photo, but actually he woke up with a mysterious black eye. Not sure which is worse!

On the last day of our holiday 2 weeks ago , Hugo hurt his paw. 😦 So its been rest and on lead walks for our labrador lad. Luckily he is now on the mend and no longer limping. This was my atempt at getting him to pose amongst the Autumn leaves. I suspect he wanted to pounce on them instead!

Meanwhile Slinky Malinki is spending most of her time in her cosy new bed. ……. and looking put out when I disturb the madam for a photo. 🐺🐾

On Friday afternoon I dropped into a friends Tile and Kitchen Showroom…..and drank far to much wine on their Open day.  πŸ˜‰ We did choose some new flooring for our living room though, so its obviously a good idea to keep the wine flowing. πŸ™‚ Here’s their website.

I am so glad I joinedPostcrossing  !  Its a fun way of sending and recieving postcards from all over the world. I always get so excited when I get some happy post……and what is happier than a pretty postcard. πŸ™‚ Here are some I have been sent recently. 🌏

Thanks for dropping by and thanks to Natalie  for orgaizing Sunday Sevens.

Well folks its that time of year again. My blog has been out there in the virtual world for yet another year.Thats four years! What do I love about blogging?  Well I do love telling everyone and their aunty about any new great places I discover. I feel compelled to actually! I  enjoy taking photos too, though in a haphazard point and press type of way. So this blog is really my great indulgence.I’m still finding it to be lots of fun. I don’t think I can quite help….. being a blogger.:)

My Blogging Birthday Tradition is to host a wee giveaway every July to celebrate another happy 12 months of blogging.Yay! As I sit outside in the sunshine (oh so appropriate) sipping fruit tea, watching Slinky the cat prowl about my nasturtiums, I’m thinking, yep it feels great to be wishing myself a very happy blogging birthday.:)

To recieve a read copy of Jackie Copleton’s gripping & beautiful  novel set in war torn Japan ‘A dictionary of Mutual Understanding ‘and a pretty blue ceramic seahorse tag from my friends Etsy Shop please comment below.

Alice Pic Of The Week ‘3’

image

My Alice Pic Of The Week is of these adorable tile tags which were a present from my friend Lisa on my last birthday. Lisa and her partner Mark have a bespoke tile company  Tile Productions  and they make ceramic buttons and tags and other lovely bits and bobs from any spare clay they have left over. I have always admired them especially the Alice inspired ones so was very happy when i received such a pretty present. I’m still wondering how to display them. Any ideas? I think my fave one is The White Rabbit. Or maybe the smoking caterpillar. πŸ™‚

Please feel welcome to send me any Alice In Wonderland inspired photos you have taken on your travels as I would love to feature them as an Alice Pic Of The week. My email is breadandbutterfly4071@yahoo.com πŸ™‚

The Hobbiton Market.

This weekend I have had a fun time hosting my vintage crockery stall at the Hobbiton Market in the pretty village of Hurst Green. The area has connections with the Lord of the rings author J R R Tolkein as he occasionally lectured at nearby Stonyhurst college. It is thought that the surrounding countryside and views of Pendle Hill and its associations with witchcraft and sorcery inspired him in his writing. So of course the village is the perfect venue for a Middle Earth craft market….along with bands and a beer festival. Here are a few pics from the weekend.

Even though I am not a big Lord of the Rings fan I really enjoyed the event and it is going to be a yearly thing. We even had a bit of sunshine :0)
Hope you enjoyed your weekend….
