The Old Vicarage Tearooms.

If your ever in the Forest of Bowland you may stumble on the tiny dwelling of Tosside. This pretty community is in an area of outstanding natural beauty with the east side of the village standing in Yorkshire and the west in Lancashire. The name Tosside actually derides from the old english word Tod meaning fox.

And you cannot miss this rather handsome Fox weathervain in the centre of Tosside.Head West to the pub and East to The Old Vicarage tearooms. 🙂

The Tearooms are owned by my friend Emmy.I might be a wee bit biased but she is a terrific cook specialising in home cooked meals using locally sorced ingredients.
Today we dropped by for a brew and cake.Yummy!

Wil had Emmys delicous coffee and walnut cake and I had a  scrumptious scone warm from the oven with strawberry jam and clotted cream.

The decor in the Old Vicarage is very homely.Emmy is kind enough to sell some of my teacup candles for me as well as other homemade goodies and freshly laid farm eggs.

And kids and even big kids can get busy colouring in these Foxy masks.Cool hey 🙂

So if you do ever find yourself in Tosside ( it is one of those places you kind of stumble accross on your travels!) be sure to bob in for a hearty meal or even for some of Emmy’s famous sticky toffee pudding. And watch out for those Foxes. They are everywhere 😉
